Why is Trackman more expensive than a home simulator?

Trackman 4 is the same dual-radar measurement system used by PGA Tour professionals. It measures more than 30 parameters of the swing and the ball: club head speed, angle of attack, spin rate, distance, launch angle, smash factor. Its accuracy (less than 1 metre of error at 250 metres) is why it is present at more than 90% of professional Tour stops.

Is it worth the price?

Compare it with a weekend green fee in Barcelona (Real Club El Prat, PGA Catalunya): between €70 and €250, 5-6 hours in total including travel, with no data feedback. An hour of Trackman from €30 gives you 60 minutes of measured practice. For pure training, the indoor session is 2 to 8 times more efficient in cost per useful hour.
